Ljiljana Trajkovic received the Dipl. Ing. degree from University of Pristina, Yugoslavia, the M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from University of California at Los Angeles. She is currently a professor in the School of Engineering Science, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Prof. Miin-Shen Yang received the B.S. degree in mathematics from Chung Yuan Christian University, Taoyuan, Taiwan, in 1977, the M.S. degree in applied mathematics from National Chiao-Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1980, and the Ph.D. degree in statistics from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, USA, in 1989. Slavisa Aleksic’s main interests are in network technologies and protocols, network management, sustainability, and smart environments. He obtained both the Dipl.Ing. (MSc) and the Dr. techn (PhD) degrees as well as his veniadocendi teaching authorisation (habilitation) for Communication Networks from the Vienna University of Technology. He is currently a Professor at the University of Applied Sciences (HTWK) Leipzig, where he is responsible for teaching and research within the broad area of network technologies and network management. Previously, he was a Senior Researcher and Lecturer at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria and a Professor at the University of Telecommunications Leipzig (HfTL), Germany. Tetsuya Shimamura received his B.E., M.E. and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Keio University in Japan, in 1986, 1988 and 1991, respectively. In 1991, he joined Saitama University in Japan, where he is currently a Professor of Graduate School of Science and Engineering. He was Head of Department of Information and Computer Sciences at Saitama University in 2012 and 2013, and Dean of Information Technology Center in 2014 and 2015. Wai Lam received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo. He obtained his BSc. and M.Phil. degrees from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Hongbin Ma has been a Professor at the School of Automation, Beijing Institute of Technology since he joined Beijing Institute of Technology in 2009. Chiara Passamonti is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Statistics at the University of Luxembourg, working under the supervision of Prof. Christophe Ley in the MIDAS team. She received the Ph.D. in Economics and Statistics from the Università "G. d'Annunzio" of Chieti-Pescara in December 2025. His research also focuses on artificial neural networks and bio-inspired algorithms for system design and optimization, as well as control design, observer development, and bioprocess automation.

Dr. Tran is a Researcher at Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Malta, Malta. He was a Postdoctoral researcher at Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Seoul National University (SNU), Seoul, South Korea (October, 2022 – October, 2023). He is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) at Department of Marine Engineering, Vietnam Maritime University, Haiphong City, Vietnam. He is an Honorary Professor at School of Computing Science and Engineering, Galgotias University, India and an Honorary Adjunct Professor at School of Computer Science and Engineering, Lovely Professional University (LPU), India. Additionally, he is an Adjunct Faculty at SIMATS Engineering, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Tamilnadu, India. He received B.Eng and M.Sc at Vietnam Maritime University, Vietnam in 2011 and 2014, respectively. He got Ph.D. Degree at Wuhan University of Technology, Wuhan, China in 2018. He is an Editor/Guest Editor for the reputation journals indexed in SCI/SCIE such as Environment, Development and Sustainability, IET Intelligent Transport System, International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, Sustainable Computing: Informatics and Systems, International Journal of Renewable Energy Technology, International Journal of Energy Optimization and Engineering, IEEE Internet of Things Magazine, Mathematics. In 2015, he had been awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) for the full funding of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in China. In 2019, He had been awarded the NEPTUNE prize for the outstanding researchers by Vietnam Maritime University, In 2022, he is one of five outstanding scientists in Vietnam to be nominated for Ta Quang Buu prize by the National Foundation for Science & Technology Development (NAFOSTED). Additionally, he had been selected and awarded the full scholarship for the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program of National Research Foundation (NRF) for Foreign Researchers by the Government of South Korea.

Dr. Slavik Avagyan is a researcher in the natural sciences with broad interests spanning atmospheric physics, astronomy, and astrophysics. He proposed a fundamentally new explanation for the formation of hail and newly formed snow, presented at the XXI International Congress of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (2004, Warsaw, Poland). In recent years, his work has focused on astronomy and astrophysics, including a presentation at the IAU XXVIII General Assembly (2012, Beijing) on the source of stellar energy. Using novel theoretical approaches, Dr. Avagyan has challenged prevailing cosmological models, arguing against the occurrence of the Big Bang, and has developed an original model for the formation and stability of the Solar System. He has also provided a general solution to the Gasca–Maeztu hypothesis. Among his most notable contributions is his paper “On the Michelson–Morley Experiment” presented at PhysCon 2009 (Catania, Italy), in which he argued that the experiment underlying Einstein’s theory was unsuccessful.
